Guide for the linguistic inclusion of migrants
The Guide for the linguistic inclusion of migrants has been created with the intention of turning into a tangible product the proposal of INCLUDEED, an Erasmus+ project that pursues the integration of immigrants and refugees through one of the main assets of Europe, its languages. This guide addresses different challenges that arise during the period of integration of these groups and offers solutions that can favor the achievement of this complex process.
Based on the experience in this field of the universities that make up the INCLUDEED consortium (University of Salamanca, University of Bologna, University of Coimbra, University of Coimbra, University of Heidelberg, University of Poitiers and Trinity College Dublin), this document arises from the joint effort and the desire to achieve an egalitarian society in terms of integration. Likewise, the support of various non-governmental organizations (Red Cross, ACCEM, the CEPAIM Foundation and the Sierra-Pambley Foundation) dedicated to the reception and integration of immigrants and refugees throughout Europe has facilitated the detection of difficulties and made it possible to build bridges between different perspectives and unite efforts to converge in the same direction. It is, in short, a document that seeks to approach, through an informative language, but in a rigorous way, the theoretical advances in this matter and to offer diverse resources that can be put into practice in real life.
