FOCO is a collaborative project with a dual purpose: first, to collect information on best practices in the application of information and communication technologies to the teaching of foreign languages and, secondly, through an interactive database, to make that information available to all professionals who may want to use it.

FOCO is the main product of E-Lengua, an EU-funded project carried out by six European universities and an Egyptian university.
Any educational or professional institution is welcome to participate by sending their best practices through the Get Involved section of this portal. Best practices are selected following the UNESCO’s criteria for best practices in education and are stored in a data base, which is accessible through the Catalogue of Best Practices section of this portal.
